I don't mind doing maths, its just that some of the things we are learning, when im going to need them in the work force.
I have maths in a couple of days but i think i am ready thanks to the best maths teacher Ms.Holness.

i hate mathematics with a passion.. it feels as if each time i try, i tend to fail, i only have about 40 days b4 i sit my CXC exams for maths and i'm really worried for myself
its a pretty interesting subject you just have to understand it the concept of it. the subject to me is not hard a bit frustrating but not hard,and most of all you must av a little likes for the subjects to actually do it
i'm beginin to like maths slowly but surely i'm understandin it more and more everyday

can some one solve this for me 1\2(X-2)-1\3(X-3)=5
1/2(x-2)-1/3(x-3)=5
.5(x-2)-.33(x-3)=5
.5x-1-.33x-.99=5
.5x-.33x=5+1+.99
0.165x=5.99
x=42.36
Replace "X" with my answer which is "42.36"
1/2(42.36-2)-1/3(42.36-3)=5
=21.18-1-14.12-.99
=5.07
I am working for a one in maths, when i work maths prob my brain gets really excited.....lol
1/2 (x-2) - 1/3 (x-3) = 5
multiply both sides by 6 (LCM)
3(x-2)-2(x-3) = 30
3x - 6 -2x + 6 = 30
3x - 2x -6 + 6 = 30
x = 30
Ur Answer is wrong when work prob like those u replace the symbol with your answer and see if it adds up

While I understand how you feel about math, maybe there are other websites where you can find other people who also wish to vent like you about it.
The vast majority of members of this community come here because they are trying to pass their CXC subjects and want to be helpful and positive about it. If you wish to offer help to any of our members or wish to ask for help with some specific aspect of the math syllabus, please feel free to do so. If however, you wish to vent negative emotions you have about the subject, this site might be a better place to do so.
Good luck with your math exams and I do hope that you begin to have a better relationship with the subject.
