CXC CSEC Principles of Business (POB) School Based Assessment (SBA) project template

For those students preparing their CXC CSEC Principles of Business (POB) School Based Assessment (SBA) projects, here is a template for a POB SBA project.

The CXC CSEC POA SBA template with marking scheme is here. You will need a .pdf reader installed on your computer to open this file.

This template shows you all the elements that must be included in a CXC CSEC POB SBA project. It also identifies the marks allocated for each of the elements present in the template.

Purpose of the template

The CXC CSEC POA SBA template provides a guide showing the required content and organization of your POA SBA project.

It shows:

(1) The required organization of POB SBA projects

(2) The type of information which must be included in POB SBA projects

(3) The allocation of marks for the various elements of the POB SBA project

How to use the template for the CXC CSEC POB SBA project

This template with marking scheme should be used as a guide to help you in your preparation of your own CXC CSEC POB SBA project.

You should use it to make sure that you have included all the required elements in your own CXC CSEC POB SBA project.

You should use it to help you properly organize the sections of your own CXC CSEC POB SBA project.

You can use it to calculate the amount of marks you should get for your own CXC CSEC POB SBA project based upon how well you have completed all the sections.

hi this is my 1st SBA, and I'm getting some trouble on the topics above. I'm doing production and my business is a bakery.for the quality control measures we're supposed to give two quality control measures that the business should adhere to and in the ethical issues we're supposed to"discuss 1 ethical issue relating to production,showing how it impacts on the business"can someone please help me out???

it would have both back ward and forward linkage. because you are supply the customer which is a forward linkage and the farms and agricultiral sector will be supplying you with goods which is the backward linkage.

Hey!
I finished my PRODUCTION sba, and now my teacher said she dosen't want me to do that. This is so not fair! She has her FAVOURITE students, they were allowed to keep their PRODUCTION and now i have to go and do Marketing for tomorrow. God has to be with me so i can finish.

seriously .. that is so terrible ..I would be so angry with my teacher !!
most of friends doing marketing got their information from the textbook
.... but if you don't understand something google it , compare results and come up with the most suitable in relation to your question .... or even ask someone who is doing Marketing ... I hope it helps

Hi Shauna,

Not sure I can say what the 'best texts' are. I do know that CXC did have self-study guides for several subjects. These were books that could be used by exam candidates studying alone.

CXC produced them in association with the Commonwealth of Learning. They included self-study books in CSEC English, Mathematics, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts, Social Studies and a host of other subjects.

I don't see the guides around anymore so I don't know what the situation is with them. CXC may still be selling them, you never know. You could try calling CXC in Jamaica or Barbados and see if they are available.

And, of course, we always recommend that you check out the free Open Educational Resources (OER) multimedia resources that we have collected and created here. They are all directly related to fulfilling the objectives of the CXC CSEC syllabi for the subjects; and our collection grows almost daily.
